Who we are
Who we are
Ectropy Solutions, LLC is a veteran-owned management consulting firm based in San Antonio, Texas. The company operates three practice areas under shared governance: Ectropy Infrastructure, which provides forensic consulting and analysis for utilities and government — work that produces evidentiary records of infrastructure asset condition; Ectropy Residences, which coordinates community housing and provides property management and independent living facility services for veterans and seniors on the Gulf Coast; and Ectropy Health, which is healthcare administration consulting for Texas state, local, and private health entities.
The three practice areas share governance, the company's veteran-owned designation, and Lance Hayes as the operating principal. They do not share customers, regulatory regimes, capital structure, or operational cadence. The structure exists because the work in each area is different enough to warrant separate brand surfaces but related enough to warrant shared governance, shared back office, and shared mission.
This page describes the parent. The practice areas describe themselves at /infrastructure, /residences, and /health.
Why this exists
Why this exists
Ectropy Solutions started with infrastructure work — forensic consulting for electric utilities that needed defensible records of the condition of their assets. The work was technical, the customers were institutional, and the pace was set by procurement cycles measured in months and quarters.
The housing work came later, from a different observation: that the same Gulf Coast communities where the infrastructure work happened — the Mississippi coast, the South Texas corridor — were short on housing for the populations Lance had spent his career serving. Veterans transitioning out of military service. Seniors aging in place without family nearby. Families navigating dislocations that institutional housing wasn't built to absorb.
Healthcare administration followed — Ectropy Health — applying the same institutional discipline to the financial and administrative operations of Texas health entities.
These lines of work look unrelated. They share a discipline: build the record carefully, build the structure to last, and don't overstate what's been built so far.
The shared-governance architecture is how these disciplines stay connected without pretending to be the same business.
Ectropy Solutions is organized around a single principle: that consequential systems — utility infrastructure, veterans and senior housing, federal engagements — deserve records that hold up under review, coordination that survives complexity, and services that honor their commitments when tested. Our practice areas are structured around this discipline.

Governance and structure
Ectropy Solutions, LLC is the parent legal entity. It is registered in Texas and operates from San Antonio. The company is veteran-owned, with federal registration progressing.
The three practice areas described on this site — Ectropy Infrastructure, Ectropy Residences, and Ectropy Health — are not separate legal entities today. They are designations under the parent LLC with separate operational scopes, separate go-to-market motions, separate customer relationships, and separate reference number conventions for inquiries and applications. Full legal entity separation is in progress.
